Xiangnong (George) Wang

Xiangnong (George) Wang is a staff attorney at the Knight First Amendment Institute. He first joined the Institute as a legal fellow from 2020 to 2021 before serving as a law clerk to the Hon. William J. Kayatta, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. George received a B.A. in public policy from Stanford University and a J.D. from Yale Law School. During law school, he was a student director of the Media Freedom & Information Access Clinic, co-chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, and a Coker Fellow. George also worked on research related to improving diversity and equity in the legal profession as a member of the Portrait of Asian Americans in the Law project. In a previous career, he worked as an engineer. He has been published in the Wisconsin Law Review, the Journal of Legal Education, and Just Security.
