Kristian Lum

Kristian Lum is an associate research professor at the University of Chicago’s Data Science Institute. She has worked at Twitter as part of their Machine Learning Ethics, Transparency, and Accountability Team; the Human Rights Data Analysis Group; the University of Pennsylvania; and the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute at Virginia Institute of Technology. She is a founding member of the executive committee of the ACM conference on Fairness, Accountability, and Transparency and was named an emerging leader in statistics by the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies and a Kavli fellow by the National Academy of Sciences.
